Stones of Elements

Let’s take a closer look at the Stones of Elements combat system in Puzzles & Conquest. During the battle many colored stones appear on the field, which represent the five elements. Each of these stones has a sigil (symbol, emblem, or insignia) and a color.

Stones of Elements Arrangement

All Heroes in the game, undead and monsters are associated with one of these five elements. In the case of Heroes the color of the frame indicates which element a particular Hero belongs to. For mobs the symbol of element in the battle has been introduced in the form of a shadow painted in the color of an elemental attribute.

The table below shows the appearance and characteristics of each elemental stone.

Use in battle

When you join a personal 1v1 duel in the Arena on your field of stones you can create groups of 3 or more identical elements. They are in combination and immediately combine into energy that deals damage. This wave is used in battle to weaken the enemy by reducing his HP (health points). When the opponent’s health drops to zero he is defeated and the battle ends.

Combinations of stones can be at levels from 3 to 5 (and more) matches in color. The number of stones affects the impact power and Rate of MP gain for the Ultimate Attack of Heroes. Combinations can also create elemental bombs and elemental crystals or launch multi-combo attacks when the combination of stones entails a chain reaction on the playing field. You can read more about this in our article on Combat Mechanics.

When attacking (i.e. dealing damage) or defending (i.e. taking damage) each element has a certain level or priority of the element against which it is strong and one type of element against which it is weak. Strength means damage is doubled while weakness means damage is halved. If you hit the enemy with his color the damage will be standard (single) as well as hitting an element outside the circle of strength-weakness of the Elemental Stones in the game Puzzles & Conquest. Damage depends on the strength of the Hero in the team and the level of his evolution.

The game in the Campaign is similar in mechanics to the principle of PvP combat described above except the enemy team includes three waves of Mobs in the last of which there can be a Boss-Hero or Boss-Monster as an addition to the enemy formation.

Priority of magic stones by element type

There is a game scheme for the stones of the elements in the game Puzzles & Conquest. It represents a elements priority in which specific color elements dominate or weaken of each other. This is how the whole 3-in-a-row puzzle is played.

The game gives hints when it’s your turn to make a move showing you the potential combination of stones on the match grid. It is important to understand these tips are not straightforward recommendations. This is a guarantee that you can pick up matching stones on the battlefield.

If no match is possible the grid is automatically reshuffled. The tooltip is intended to prove to you a match is possible in the current grid not to force you to choose that particular option. It is important to look for other matches that can be much more profitable than the Elemental Gem Tip in Puzzles & Conquest. Often this tip does not take Elemental Advantage at all.
